The features, requirements, and essential components of the consistency check report in SAP Central Finance will be covered in this article.

Consistency Check Report: What Is It?

Before the initial load is anticipated to begin or before documents are duplicated from the source to the Central Finance system, the Consistency Check report assists in discovering configuration inconsistencies between the source system & the Central Finance system. By doing this, postings are conveyed accurately.

Both success and failure notifications are sent out by it. Successes are best ignored because displaying all data places a performance burden on the system. It makes logical to only concentrate on errors as the idea is to receive warnings and errors and address both.

Timings for the system, transactions, and runs:

The SAP S/4HANA system FINS CFIN CC Central System Transaction
Timings: Prior to initial load and following the upload of configurations, master data, and mappings
Run Frequently – Several Times. Run it, make any necessary corrections, rerun it, and keep doing this until all issues are fixed.

Components/Inputs

You must perform the initial load from a source system, so choose Action – Select Execute Source Logical System – and then click OK.
Check the box next to the icon to bring up a window containing objects (see screenshot). Decide the objects you wish to run the report on. Details of each object are provided in the next section.
Choose the Company code for which the initial load is intended as the selection criteria.
Always select Show Errors and Warnings Only in the other controls.

Format for output

Unless there is an exemption based on a business requirement or project design, all faults indicated should be fixed.

  • Company Code: Verifies that the local currency and other currencies used by the company code are consistent with those used by the S/4HANA and the source ECC system. system of central finance

  • GL Accounting This verifies that the G/L account’s open-item-management indicator is consistent between the S/4HANA Central Finance system and the source ECC system.
  • Various Mapping While SAP Central Finance partially supports business codes, it fully supports N: 1 mapping for master data. In conclusion, N: 1 mapping of company codes is not permitted since it interferes with posting of cross-company codes. To confirm the N: 1 mapping of company codes, perform this check.
  • Central Payment for Loans Management does not support Loans Management. This check makes sure that the FS-CML component for loans management is not activated in the source system.
